Established in 1990, the Social Policy Research Centre (SPRC) at Middlesex University, undertakes national and international interdisciplinary projects. With a reputation for high quality mixed-methods research, the centre also provides a wide range of consultancy services.
Our staff have experience in social science, policy analysis and socio-legal research. They are involved in projects funded by research councils, international organisations, the European Union, government departments, local authorities, major charities and community organisations.
Our publications include academic papers and books, as well as reports and briefs for policy makers, practitioners and the general public. The SPRC promotes partnership work, stakeholder engagement and knowledge exchange and runs high-impact events, including conferences, seminars and consultations. In addition, the centre provides bespoke courses, including research training, and a master programme in social science research methods. Staff also supervise postgraduate research students in a wide range of topics.
